How to Select Pressure Gauges

It's very important to select proper pressure gauges, please to consider the gauge prcoess media, ranges, enviornment, accuracy, dial size and mounting types.

PRESSURE RANGE
The apppropriate operating pressure range is middle half of gauge ( 25 to 50% of Full scale, and max. not over 75%  ).
If pulsation is present in process, maximum operating gauge pressure should not exceed 50% of the full scale.

VIBRATION
If present, a liquid filled gauge is recommended.

PULSATION
If present, a pressure gauge snubber or a restrictor screw is recommended.

MEDIA TEMPERATURE
Over 37℃ , a Syphon is recommended.
Temperature change will reduce the accuracy.

CASE MATERIAL
Environmental considerations include ambient temperature, air brone, particulate, humidity, weather, water, chemicals, or the gauge will explose to wet, humidity, rainy, all of which affect performace of gauge.
If the weather or environment is a concern, a liquid filled gauge IP65 is recommended.

CASE /BEZEL RING
Crimped ring : Can not be opened. MODEL L, S1-7
Bayonet-lock ring : Can be opened to recalibrate. MODEL S11-17, H, P
Push-in ring : Can be opened. MODEL A3, F1, R3

CONNECTION / WETTED PARTS / SENSING ELEMENT
The wetted parts of pressure gauge, connection and socket must be compatible with process media. If wetted parts are not compatible with media, corrosion and gauge failure will happen.
Copper alloy is just to be used in general industrial service, that not clog or cossive to copper alloy.
Stainless steel perform well resist corrosion.
When stainless steel wetted parts are not compatible with process media, a diaphragm seal should be considered.

ACCURACY
Ambient and media temperature all may affect the accuracy and intergrity of the gauge.
Digital pressure gauge / switch / transducer 0.25%, 0.5% or 1%
Process gauge 0.5% or 1%
Dry gauge 3-2-3%, 2-2-2% or 1.6%, 1.0%
Liquid filled gauge : 3-2-3%, 2-1-2% or 1.6%, 1.0%
